The ZEITKUNSTFESTIVAL (Contemporary Art Festival) takes place from August 7 - 9, 2026, at Schrattenthal Castle and combines contemporary art with literature, music, performance, and discourse. This year, the festival explores the enduring influence of Freud, psychoanalysis, and its visual world.
The festival exhibition, ECHOKAMMER FREUD, brings together ten artists: Julie Hayward, Markus Hofer, Karen Holländer, Gudrun Kampl, Michael Kos, Franziska Maderthaner, Roman Pfeffer, Martin Schnur, Letizia Werth, and Stefan Zsaitsits.

Group Exhibition at the Museum Krems
June 4 to November 15, 2026
The Museum Krems presents the exhibition "paper unlimited_02," featuring fifty-two artistic positions selected by a distinguished jury from over 600 submissions for the Erich Grabner Prize for Graphic Art awarded by the City of Krems.
The exhibition showcases the diversity of contemporary graphic art in Austria. Alongside classic printing techniques such as screen printing and woodcuts, the exhibition includes drawings, watercolors, and experimental mixed media works.
