Murmuring Lines
Solo exhibition at the Gallery Stephan Stumpf, Munich
November 8 to December 21, 2024
Gallery Stephan Stumpf
Schleißheimer Str. 44
80333 Munich
Opening hours: Thursday to Saturday, 15:00 - 19:00
From the press release:
“Stefan Zsaitsits's solo exhibition 'Murmuring Lines' is dedicated to the sublime language of images. Through the process of drawing, inner impulses, fragments of past memories or scraps of dreams are woven together and develop into a murmuring, inner-pictorial dialog. Following their own associations, viewers can sense fragments of this murmur before they melt away again in the graphic fusion of sense and nonsense, reality and absurdity, comedy and tragedy. In addition to parallels in content, one also encounters the juxtaposition of different drawing styles and possibilities - sketchy, expressive, detailed, delicate. Nevertheless, the question remains: does all of this come together, does it become comprehensible? Or does it remain diffuse - oscillating between mute feelings and a murmuring sphere of speaking images?”
